I needed to read this at this time. Feeling very frustrated by my clinical role as an early career surgeon and feel that I have so much more to offer, but I'm not sure how to obtain those opportunities. I think the hardest part is understanding what to "create" in order to have that interesting career, since the path is nonlinear. I appreciate you writing about this.
Hi Arhana, welcome, and I'm glad you came across my work! Thank you for sharing. It's not uncommon to have the experience you're having - our medical training teaches us to excel in a particular role, but not necessarily how to craft and fulfilling and durable career.
I'm happy to have you along in the journey - I look forward to sharing more resources and strategies to get you to a new place professionally!

Such a beautifully written thought provoking piece. I find myself struggling in a void, but maybe, my flywheel is about to move any day now.
I hope it can inspire you to keep pushing the flywheel for a bit longer! Thank you for the kind complimentary words.
